Martin Buser:
Martin Buser and Hans Gatt were instrumental in helping us develop our new Eagle Ultra Power diet. Martin’s insight into new feeding concepts has enabled us to develop a food far superior to anything on the market today. “Nutrition is the backbone of any racing program”. “Nutrition is such an important aspect of any racing program. It’s nice not to have to worry about it”. Martin attributes much of his success to his quality, all year long feeding program. “It is more important what you feed the dogs the fifty weeks you are not racing on the trail.” He feeds his kennel Eagle Power Pack until just before he begins serious training in the early fall. There is very little transition time from Power to Ultra Power, whereas feeding a poorer quality food and changing to Ultra Power would require up to two months for the body to gain maximum benefit from the new diet.

Martin certainly knows what it takes to be a winner and to maintain his racing team in top physical condition. He is a four-time winner of the Iditarod and also a four-time winner of the Alaska Airlines Leonhard Seppala Humanitarian Award for the best cared for team on the Iditarod. Eagle is honored to be able to say that Martin Buser has fed our food for over 15 years and continues to have one of the most competitive kennels in the world.
